- Joe, Congratulations! I bought the same gun (Ithaca-SKB model 600 Field in 20 ga) earlier this spring, serial # CF 6537XX. I have an Ithaca-SKB model 600 Field in 12 ga I bought new in 1973 and I used it a lot 40 years ago both in the field and at skeet; it never missed a beat.
- SKB Shotguns USA imported shotguns from the Japanese factory during the period 1988 to 2009. These shotguns will have our importer's mark (G.U. Omaha, Ne.) on the left side of the barrel under the forend. In most cases, the shotguns will have a serial number prefixes of either NS, NSG, NA, and AS.

This respected Japanese manufacturer began making shotguns for U.S. market in 1960s. Made various models for Browning, Weatherby and other American brands. In 1970s, SKB began marketing many models under its own name. End of 2009, SKB factory closed its doors. Final inventory was purchased by G. U. Inc. of Omaha, Nebraska. As of mid 2013, G.U. Inc. began importing several shotgun models from Turkey under the SKB brand. Approximately 1967 to 1977, Ithaca imported a series of over/under and side-by-side shotguns from SKB. These models were virtually identical to other SKB-made guns and had the same model numbers. Values shown in this section also apply to Ithaca guns.
